This Universal sound bar bracket lets you hang your sound bar above or below your LCD TV. This VESA compliant sound bar bracket is designed to work with almost any TV and sound bar. Constructed with high quality steal the brackets will hold up to 33lbs. Easy installation takes only minutes.
Sound bars are a great way of improving the sound quality of your home theater without having to find a place to put multiple speakers. For the best effect sound bars should be placed close to your TV. One major problem that arises is that the sound bar can get in the way of your screen or even block the IR signals from your remote. The universal sound bar bracket from Sewell provides an ideal solution for this problem. By placing the sound bar above or below your TV you can enjoy the improved audio from the sound bar without it getting the way.
This sound bar bracket can be used for TV's on a stand or wall mounted. Installation is simple and takes only a few minutes. First look at the mounting holes on your TV and sound bar then determine how to position the brackets to fit the mounting holes. Use the included hardware to attach the brackets to the TV. Loosely tighten the screws so the brackets can still be adjusted. Then attach the sound bar to the brackets and loosely tighten the screws. Make sure the position of the sound bar is correct then tighten the all screws and you are done.

I was a little hesitant after seeing the reviews calling the brackets "flimsy and short", but these are actually pretty good quality. They're far from short, in fact mounting the soundbar above my 50" Panisonic plasma required me to use the upper hole rather than the bottom hole so I had plenty of room left. Well these are not rock solid they will firmly hold your soundbar and do not move or sway when the tv is being used. That said, if you have the tv on a mount that moves the soundbar is going to rock a slight bit as you move it, but that's to be expected.Over all I was very happy with the brackets and the included hardware helped get everything aligned properly. Better than spending the extra $30 for thicker brackets that wouldn't have really changed anything.

I learned a couple of things in purchasing this versus the alternative:1) It's a lot cheaper, and works just as well. The other alternative product on Amazon is nearly twice the price, but offers no additional features.2) This requires that your soundbar have a screw in mount on the back, which most of them do *not* have. Mine (Polk Audio IHT 6000) simply have key hook eyelets on the back, which means you have nothing to screw your Soundbar into. So it requires purchasing additional screw on washers to work.You then essentially screw your hanging screw and washer onto the bracket, get it all nice and level, and then hang your Soundbar on the screws. Not the most elegant solution, but it worked for me.Once on your Tv, you can then adjust the height of the brackets, so that your soundbar sits flush with the top or bottom of your TV. Though if you're looking to 100% flushness, so that you can't see through the space between the TV and the Soundbar, you're out of luck. Due to the way that the Soundbar butts up against your TV, there's going to be a sliver of light that shines through if your TV is backlit, which may or may not be a big deal to you.Overall, a good product. Certainly as good as the competitor that's nearly double the price. Just be warned that you'll need to do some clever work to get the Soundbar to hang on the mount if you don't have threaded screw holes on the back fo your Soundbar.

Not sure what the negative feedback is all about. Two metal brackets at half the cost of some other metal brackets. Holds the SSA-42 fine under a Sony Bravia 42" TV. I'd give 5 stars.. but 5 stars for a stamped metal bracket? ehh. Point is.. why pay double for stamped metal? I don't get how another provider can charge an extra $25 for such a simple product.
