***Please read my note toward the end of the review about the Optical cable.***This review is for the Vizio VSB202 Soundbar. I don't know for sure, but I wonder if the Vizio VSB200 is the same soundbar, but without the cables. This model (VSB202) came with everything I needed.I purchased this because my wife was complaining about not being able to hear our TV when she was on our noisy treadmill. I decided it was cheaper to upgrade the audio than to buy a quiet treadmill, so I went 'shopping'. I was about to pull the plug on an Audio Source soundbar that received very good reviews, but I waited too long and the price suddenly jumped 100%. I purchased this for one hundred dollars at SamsClub - one of the few times I've purchased something like this from a merchant other than Amazon. Admittedly, I knew nothing about soundbars before starting my search, but it seemed like a perfect answer to our situation. We just wanted more volume / better sound from our TV....and we got it!After removing the soundbar from the box, it was a matter of connecting the AC power adapter to the wall and the back of the soundbar, and the Optical Cable (included!) to the optical output of the TV (which I wasn't even sure I had until I looked for it) and to the back of the soundbar. I had read several other reviews where people couldn't get any sound from their soundbars or it had a lot of static, so I was shocked when I pressed the power button and the room suddenly filled with sound. And when I realized it was only at 1/2 volume, I was even more impressed. It took me about 30 more minutes to mount it to the wall below the TV, which seemed to improved the sound slightly. The included, attached brackets are designed to allow wall mounting or table-top mounting. No mounting hardware is included, but the bracket design is pretty sweet since it can be used in either orientation....one screw is all that attaches each bracket to the soundbar. Remove the screw, flip the bracket, and reattach the screw to change from table to wall mounting. I just used a couple of heavy-duty (30 lb each) drywall mounting anchors and screws to secure mine to the wall just below the TV.The soundbar comes with: The AC Power Adapter, Optical Cable for Digital Audio, RCA Cables for Analog Audio, and a Remote control. The Remote is pretty small - about 1" wide and about 4" long. I don't know if it can be programmed or if other smart remotes can be programmed to control the soundbar. I'm not that 'techie' and unless the remote breaks, I'll probably not even look into it. This soundbar was connected to my 42" Toshiba TV and used in conjunction with my DirecTV system. If you want to know about all of the 'technical' stuff, just go to the Vizio website and search the Product tab for audio products.The only negative aspect that I have of the unit (so far) is the fact that after a short period, the display LED's which indicate volume and type of audio, blank out completely, so it's difficult to determine if the unit is even on or not. So, if you shut the TV off and then get distracted when there is no audio, you really can't tell if the unit was turned off or not. I wish it had an LED that remained On, when the unit is on. If someone else knows something about this that I don't, please chime in.***Please note - the only "issue" or concern I had was with the Optical Cable. The cable ends are shaped kind of like a barn - a flat bottom, straight sides, and then a slightly curved 'top'. The cable can only be plugged-in one way; on the soundbar, that's with the flat side of connector on the bottom.On both the TV and the soundbar, the connector would plug in, but it seemed really wobbly. And if I touched the cable / connector while it was on, the audio would get a bit static-y or would cut out all together. I thought this was kind of a lame connection, but since it sounded so good, I figured I would put up with the limitation. But then I decided to call Vizio Support. They answered right away but after describing the issue to the tech support rep and not really getting anywhere, she checked with someone else. Although they really didn't get me to the solution, it was because of the conversation that I stumbled upon the fact that the ends of the cables had a "protective cap" on them...something neither the manual or tech support mentioned. I slid the small plastic caps off and now the cable connectors snapped snugly into place on both the TV and soundbar. Unless you've dealt with these optical cables before, I can see a lot of people doing the exact same thing as I did and wonder why it's not fitting tight. It really isn't obvious that these caps come off. If I can attach a picture later, I will.As mentioned before, I'm no techno wiz, but I was impressed with the quality of the sound from this unit and I'm more than satisfied with my purchase. I'm now thinking about adding one to one of my other sets.

I ordered this sound bar from amazon marketplace(Cheapees) to India and it cost me $135 + $45 shipping and then around $60 for custom duty for importing it to India but I am still very much satisfied with this purchase in spite of paying more than double the cost paid by US customers. It sounds great and the connection process took almost less than a minute. I connected it with my 47 inch LG 47LE5500 LED TV by optical cable and immediately it started working very well. It automatically detects when there is Dolby Digital input and in that case the surround sound is awesome and it can be compared with my Philips 5.1 surround system.I saw Avatar on this sound bar and heard the voices that I didn't heard earlier. I am very much happy with this purchase.

I was looking for one of these for the den because my hubby and I were not happy with the sound from the television. I read the reviews and happy to say the choice was right on target. Very easy to connect and great sound! This item fit the room because we didn't feel the room was large enough for a home theatre system but is just right for the sound bar.
